Hey, thanks for all your advice and kind words. I think I'm just going to let this "friends" thing go for a while, and then slowly (very slowly) build it up from there. I'll "learn to have fun, live and love life by myself" first and see if I can get her to come running to me rather than me running to her. I know it sounds dumb, since I'm just 17 and all, but I just want to be able to hold her hand, look into her eyes and smile while she is gazing back into my eyes smiling back and we both know what each other are thinking. I don't know... It's not going to happen soon, but I'm determined to make this work!

Oh no! I think I found out what the problem is...
I've fallen for a non-band girl!

Don't worry about it. Girls my age (and yours) aren't really anything special anyway. We're just a bunch of teenage idiots. Seriously.

Just have fun and be yourself. Once we all (guys and gals alike) get out of this teenage funk we're in, it can only get better. (Can anyone say, college? lol)

Worse yet, it'll always be the head jock you see her with for some reason. Good news is, they tend to fall "out of their prime" after high school while the lower class acne-ridden snotnoses with great personalities tend to rise to most eligible status during college.

Dude I'm 17 too and I've gotten this line a few times and surprisingly it has worked out to where I've got three or four really close female friends. Keep on the lookout and keep trying if you feel its the right thing to do but there's a good possibility for things working out for the best.
