Then again, OHU 17-10 win over nonranked Illinois shows that the Buckeyes are not superhuman. Both teams are beatable.

![]() ![]() ![]() | OK, So UCLA beat USC today. Now I suppose they are going to leap Florida over Michigan????? Michigan had one loss, on the road by 3 points to the number 1 team in the country. Florida lost to 2 loss Auburn. If they leap Florida over Michigan, they should shoot them all! I guess I should just hope the Hogs beat the Gators. -cw-

![]() | Ohio vs Florida... Florida had a tougher schedule than Michigan, plus it's just fun to sit back and watch Michigan fans sweat. Ohio is firing on all cylinders and the BCS is going to be like the cat playing with a mouse anyway. Michigan had their chance and didn't perform well enough against the lesser caliber opponents during the season to justify the #2 spot. Please don't get me wrong, I think Ohio sucks and wanted the Wolverines to win but Ohio has a monster team this year. BTW, being from the Pac-10 I simply loved watching UCLA beat USC. There are games played that make a football season enjoyable and seeing USC go down in flames was worth it all.

| Mezzo Piano User | Florida needs to win and win big against the Hogs. It's their only shot at jumping over Michigan. As much as I despise Michigan, it looks like they will face Ohio State for the National Title again.

![]() | Okay, I've tried to stay out of this, but I can no longer remain silent. Here's are the problems with a OSU/Michigan rematch. First, if Michigan wins, OSU is the Big 10 champ, and Michigan is the national champ. That just doesn't make sense. Second, then the season series would be tied at 1-1. Doesn't Michigan then need a home game to break the tie? With over 100 teams playing Division I football and no playoff, there have to be some meaningful designations. And a conference title is one of them. A few years ago Nebraska played in the BCS title game, but did not even play in the Big 12 title game. That is ridiculous. So here is the rule: In the absence of a playoff, a team must win its conference to play for the national title. An independent team must have an exceptional season against quality opponents. If you are not your conference's champ, then without a playoff, you can't be national champ. That's it, Joey |
