Dave
I was artist in residence at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven, Belgie for three years under Mnr. Petre. Twice a year they still have me over for solo appearances with brass bands (he conducts four) and duo piccolo trumpet/organ recitals with Petre. I usually fit in a master class at the Instituut as well, but there was no time on this visit. I am in my sixth year and enjoy it every time. I am returning in the early Spring and hope to do some intense study on the natural trumpet with Petre. He has many and is an "expert" in the field. We have never made the time before and agreed I would take a three day crash course on natural trumpet when I next visit. I am looking forward to it. In the meantime I will be learning how to play this Monke rotary Bflat. The sound is gorgeous, but it feels funny in my hands. LOL.

Thumbs up

Alex - those pics are so beautiful [the rainbows], they look better than a lot of the ones people purchase. Thank you for sharing. Dave

Greetings Walter and thank you. I am going to have one of the rainbow prints made into an 8X10 and hang it up.

I used a photo hosting website called www.imageshack.us to put the photos in my post. There are others, but I forget them off the top of my head. Usually you host them and they give you a link to put in your posts.

Nice photo! My dad was an artillery sgt. with the 104th Infantry Division in WWII. They liberated the Belgium/Holland area on the way to Germany. I hear that the 104th (Timberwolf) Div. is still thought of very highly in that area.

Yes, they are thought of highly Dale! Thank you for the piece of history and the wonderful patch photo. I love it! Also, tell your dad "Bedankt" from Belgium and Holland. I have been to several of the military cemetaries overseas and it takes your breath away when you see an ocean of white crosses on a sea of green. The one in Maastricht, Nederlands is unbelievable as it is hits your vision suddenly after driving past the hillside. Breathtaking.
