I mean, I fly into Newark and I don't have a way to get from there to Rowan. Though, I might be meeting up with trumpetmike and his friend and getting tickets on the rail and taking the train there. (trumpetmike, can you confirm this or not? Thanks!)

Then, I don't fly home until the 12th (it was cheaper that way) so I may be in Newark for a day or so.

Thanks for the PM, Alex! If the thing with trumpetmike doesn't work out, I will give you a call.

Most of this happened because the person I was going to be going with couldn't go because of something that came up. So, I had just gotten my tickets and everything, and I was stuck. Oh well, everything will work out, it always does!

If you are going to rent a car, you have several options - Philadelphia International is the closest, but to save money, some folks are flying into Baltimore, Newark, Westchester Co (HPN is airport code) and New York. If you are not renting a car, then PHL is the airport for you. From there you can take shuttles, public transport or a taxi.

www.trumpetguild.org Check out the site for info Phatmon. It will answer a lot of your questions.
Thanks Alex

I hope that is an all-ages venue, so that our under-21 friends like Lara can attend. It won't be a TM hang without Lara!

Well... according to Pennsylvania Law, I think that Lara will be okay. It reads as follows:

Issues Concerning Minors
Horizontal Line Graphic
Minors or Persons under twenty-one (21) years of age cannot be within any licensed establishment unless they are with their parents or legal guardian. Two exceptions to this law exist:

1.
Licensees who are able to document that their business sells at least 70% food and non-alcoholic beverages, may allow minors on the premises for the purpose of purchasing and consuming non-alcoholic beverages. If the licensee is selling less than 70% food and non-alcoholic beverages, the best policy is not to allow minors to enter the establishment without their parent or legal guardian accompanying them. Legal age siblings and spouses do not qualify unless they can establish legal guardianship, or qualify under proper supervision, which requires the accompanying adult to be twenty-five (25) years of age or older. This is commonly referred to as the "Pizza Hut" law.
2.
Licensees may sponsor non-alcoholic nights for minors. However, the following stringent restrictions apply to such events:

The licensee must have all alcoholic beverages removed from the rooms in which the minors will gather, or place the alcoholic beverages under lock and key.

One adult, at least twenty-five (25) years of age, must be present per fifty (50) minors in attendance. The minors must constantly be within sight and hearing of the adult. The licensee, licensee's employees or the licensee's security guards do not qualify as appropriate supervision for the minors.

Lara, you'll need to "Buddy-up"! Don't think that will be a problem!

Furthermore, I would think that the Landmark Americana would NOT want to mess with a bunch of angry trumpet players.

Bruce

Isn't the ITG held in NJ, not PA?

My bet is that the place is like a Chili's or similar where you can get in Lara.

If not I'll sneak you in my Altieri 5 horn bag.

Alex Yates has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Honestly, with "grill" attached to the name, it must be a restaurant. If that is the case, Lara will have no problems. Usually, if an establishment serves food, all ages are welcome.
