FIrst car: '67 Cougar XR7 ( I admit it, I onced owned a Ford )
After my dad totalled that car getting happy with a heavy foot, I bought an 81 Chevy pick up for $600, $4000 and 720hp later, it was my ride for several years. I recently sold that pick up (for pretty penny) because as a college student I needed something more comfortable and gas friendly (4mpg wasn't quite workin out considering the distances I drive to teach and such), so I recently obtained a 94 Toyota 4Runner, there you have it, my babies.

I thought Cougars were Mercury. I know, I know, they are both made by Ford.

A buddy of mine in HS had a 1969 Cougar XR7 - completely refurbished. What a sweet ride that car was.

First car: 1979 Ford Thunderbird purchased in 1991 - what a crappy old boat!

Current ride: 2000 Ford Ranger XLT, extend cab, auto trans (wife can't drive a stick!) purchased new in 2000. Currently has 94,000 miles and runs like a top. Best Part: It's PAID off!

bought a rusty 1990 Honda CRX HF about a year and a half ago, it's the slowest model out of the three models that were made, smallest engine and different gearing so that it is very fuel efficient, it was the most fuel efficient car ever manufactured when it came out, it still beats most of the cars on the road today, on the highway I get close to 50mpg, it is also the lightest model cause everything on the car is geared toward fuel efficiency, you may see alot of CRX Si's on the road with fancy rims and body kits and such, but the CRX HF is most sought after for aftermarket conversions because of it's light and unique design, it needed a clutch when I got it and I did both CV joints awhile back, but besides that it has always been in great shape, except for the body which is definitely a mess
I've put about ten thousand miles on it, its now somewhere around 173,000

...guess I led a deprived childhood...

First car -- 1975 AMC Hornet - no power steering, no FM radio or cassette, no AC, and the good ol' fashioned brights switch on the floor. I drove that in 1988-1989.

Currently -- 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. But it's looking like we'll be in a minivan soon....
