The alarming thing isn't that the questions are being asked, the alarming thing is that a search would reveal that they are the same, over asked, questions that continue to pop up, time and time again. Even more alarming still is the amount of misinformation proliferated by some posters who try to answer them. Most of that sort of thing is a matter of opinion anyway and can't really be definitively answered.

As for which threads are my "favorite" here are a couple that came to mind:

"Please describe the worst trumpet player you have ever heard"
"At what moment did YOU realize Phil Driscoll is the greatest"
"Has anyone ever pooped their pants while playing high notes?"
"LSD and the trumpet:A good Mix?"
" Rap music is better than Jazz and classical combined!!!! "
"Who has the best trumpet sound in jazz, ever?"
"Who is the best trumpet player in the world?"
"Need to play higher, should I gain weight?"

They all share a common theme - can anyone guess what it is?
Patrick!

^^ Yeah, I know, I know....I got sucked into each and every one of those threads. Maybe P.T. Barnum was describing guys like me when he said that there is a sucker born every minute.

Hey! Do you know what we should start talking about? The upcoming ITG Conference in June. I'm going for the first time ever and I hope I get to meet a lot of the people I talk to on the boards.

Now I gotta get practicing so that I don't make a fool of myself.

Let me know if you are ever over here - I feel that a beer might be in order (as is usually the case when two TM/TH/B-F etc members meet up)
See this is exactly what I'm talking about, it seems like trumpet related discussion always turns to something totally unrelated, and this is definitly not the first time it has been English beer? My gosh guys does every thread have to get hijacked??
Whoa there, chill out! Trumpet forums are not the most serious thing in the world, so calm down!!

I haven't been posting much anywhere recently because I've been at college, so that accounts for my posts.

I remember all of those. This place sure has changed for the better.

I know the screen name but is it a real person (you know what I mean)that maybe has another name and participates in the forum?
