![]() | Obviously the same price as Trevor -$1.30 for a US gallon although it's sold in Imperial gallons. Please note that this is our standard Octane pricewhich is the same in Dubai as Europe - 95. All petrol is a fixed price by the government and $1.30 is after a recent 35% increase due to world prices increasing. Those in North America can only dream of such high octane petrol - our super unleaded is 98 Octane. It always amazes me when I go to Canada and the uprated octane is 91!! I believe in Japan the standard octane is 101..... Graham |

| Mezzo Piano User | We measure octane different here in the good ol US of A, and 93 octane for Premium fuel is common here, at least in NY where I live. 95 is EZ to find. You just stop in at the right station. BTW: We use Reseach + Method /2 = octane rating CAM 102 octane can be had at the pump (if you know where to go) also but it's quite $$$$, and using any higher octane than your car needs only leads to carbon buildup on the cylinder heads; not a good thing. Most autos sold here use relatively low compression engines and therefore require what we calculate as 87 octane to run without detonation. I do run premium in my Mini Cooper and my Ducati motorcycle as they have somewhat higher compression engines and specify 91 octane min. gregc |
