![]() | Well, you're going to have to do more than that to stop someone who is even mildly determined to find your house from your phone number. I have used this one for several years: http://www.anywho.com/rl.html It does let you remove your listing, but I'm sure there are many more of these directories out there so it could take you a while.... ![]() | This reminds me of the website that you can search for people and find out what political party they donate money to, and how much. It also gives their address and phone number. It's all public information. You'd be surprised how much people can find out about you. |

![]() | Our unlisted number showed up on google under my name, and we took it off. It came back, and we took it off. When this thread started it showed up again, but with my wife's name. We have an "alternative" phone book here in our town. Last year my phone number showed up with my wife's name in that book and my number is unlisted. I assume that this is how google got it. I went to them and insisted that they pay me the monthly fee for having the unlisted number. They refused, but did agree to pay for my number to be changed. The thing about that is that when you have an unlisted number, over the course of several years the people you want to have the number have it, and others don't. It takes about 5-years for it to work itself to the point where you want it. Strange thing is that I've never had a bride tell me she could not find my number to hire me for a wedding. If they want it, they will find it.
