It is pretty funny how you guys can resurrect a thread that is a year old and chase it as tho the original poster still needs an answer.

I'm glad they did - this was just the info I was looking for! Son is trying out a used Omega today - $750. Can barely find any info on these on the web. Music store clerk said they are out of production. Will this make finding parts difficult, or can you just swap out strad parts?

The few old eBay auctions I found on the Omega make $750 a bit more than the eBay going rate.

We'll see if son likes it. Otherwise, he's narrowed his choice down to a new Allegro, around $1300.
