Been talking with and writing to many of you in the know. At this point, a finalist is the medium-red. Thinking scratched with lacquer. Any thoughts? Mikester www.bigbandofpraise.com |

I'm looking forward to trying that model soon at the TrumpetFest that Bruce and I are hosting. Geez, that's tomorrow! Toys, toys, toys.... uh I mean TOOLS, yeah tools! I can't see a horn being better than my Large Red, but I look forward to trying them out! This one is finished in clear lacquer, which I think looks stunning! I agree with Noel's post about the Heavy Medium Red: Quote:Medium heavy red - much warmer, richer sound. slightly slower response - more resistance, more depth to the sound, very powerful projection, similar slotting and flexibility, great range of colours - equally bright to to very dark sound (again affected by the choice of finish. Great jazz soloist horn or symphonic section playing or for powerful warm lead trumpet. (Also happens to be my second Eclipse!) Can't wait for tomorrow! See ya soon! Bruce |

I dont think any jazzer could go wrong on this one. On a side note, please excuse my typing as Im in a PC cafe in Berlin and german keyboards are REALLY weird. -J -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medium bell Eclipse Scratch Gold 37H Bach in Gold plate 3c |

The guy from whom I rented a cabin in BC this sumer is from Germany so my net access was via dialup and his laptop computer. Don't you love the reversal of the "Y" and "Z" keys? Oh...and how about the <ctrl><alt>"Q" to get the "@" symbol? wild. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Schilke B1/GR66*** Eterna 800 L/Sparx 4 Jupiter 846L/Jupiter 7 http://www.lcbs.ca |
