![]() | Hi Ed, Good to hear from you. Yes, it looks like Leighs new Eclipse Flugel fits my criteria! I was impressed with the Kanstul as well I played, although I think I may prefer a slightly smaller bell for not quite as broad a sound although I would like it on the dark side still in terms of sound. I am looking forward to trying them all out this summer. Did your Cornet arrive from Leigh and how does it play? Graham. |

![]() | Graham, I haven't tried the Eclipse copper, but the red is very warm and fluffy-toned. I think you'll like the red OR the copper, given your proclivity for "dark". The blow will suit a B1 player nicely. Oh yeah, I know that flugel mpcs can range from trumpety to tomboney, with lots of range in the middle. I'm at the light end of the middle ground. Dave
