![]() | Chuck, I know for a fact that the MS horn you will be receiving will be PERFECT for you. It suits you as well as any horn can suit anyone, it was loads of fun to hear you play "my" horn at the ITG!

![]() ![]() ![]() | It was really neat to see Arturo tear the braces off the XLY... Greg also sounded great at the session on Saturday on it. Of course you sounded the best on it G ;) and that's why it's yours. I would have left with a flugel if all of them weren't sold already Best, T

![]() | I realize this is going to start getting old... for all you folks that were not at ITG... it seems we all fell in love with each other... BUT.... I do want to say that Trent's posts on this forum (although all great) do not do this man justice... musically and personally !! I listened to his Two Toned CD on the way home on the plane and it made the 5 hours of sitting on my butt actually enjoyable... and I hate to sit still for that long.... SWEET, SWEET sounds... which is a great segway to my next comment... What a nice guy! I had the pleasure of walking back to the dorms with him one night from the jam session and I was blown away by his genuine personality... It wasn't until later, when I heard his CD that I realized how blessed he is for being able to let his gentle and kind soul speak through his playing. It's really a blessing when a musician's playing is a extension of themselves and not just a bunch of well played notes and changes. Congrats Trent. Keep the good music coming... and of course, don't change a bit... like you just the way you are! Leigh, He's a keeper! Rogerio |

![]() | Aw shucks, Trent... Hey man, I know you will be getting a flugel sooner or later, but if you need one as a 'loner' I know where there is a scratch gold plated red brass eclipse flugel that is available for you to use....

| Forte User | Y'know...these horns are in a class by themselves. Not only are they stunningly beautiful, but they play just as smooth and easy as you could ever want. Love at first buzz...

![]() ![]() ![]() | You all are way too kind. It's good that you guys didn't walk (apparently skip as well) with me on Saturday night ;) I'm recording my next project in late July so I'll have to "suffer" on my Olds Clark Terry. I'm looking forward to retiring that old classic to a spot on my wall (no drilling the horn). It's always going to be close to me and has taken well over a year to realize just how much better Leigh's flugels are. You know people can argue that there are other Bb's that are "better for them" out there. I got to play a bunch of them (including Mikester's excellent Destino that Doc tried to bend hahahaha) and it's actually really cool that there are so many great makers out there. Seeing firsthand just how much Leigh's complete line of instruments keep refining and getting better is really inspiring. My new MS plays itself, right everyone? Nobody's flugel even comes remotely close to the Eclipse. I still remember playing it on the session Tuesday and laughing in my head at the horn's efficiency. No wonder guys like Kenny Wheeler are lining up with their check books (yep, he pays too for his horn). The flugels are just that good. Thanks again for the kind words and it was great to hang with you all at the conference. I proudly wore my new T on my walk today as well, Rogerio ;) Next year's ITG will see a totally different T I hope. Still the same crazy dude that takes up a little less space. That's the biggest challenge I'll face but I'm doing it. Oh yeah! Back to the regularly scheduled program. I hope Leigh's fishing with his new fool a fish (courtesy of the Karate Kid!). Leigh, John, and the rest of the Eclipse staff definitely need a vacation from the shop! Kudos. Best, -T

Do you know what style of flugel you are going to be getting, or are you making another trip over? The hardest horn choice I have yet had to make was which flugel was the one for me - the choice between Copper and Red was really hard - it took a good few hours and it tested the listening capability of me, Leigh and John Goodwin (Surrey Brass' flugel specialist). I just love the feel and sound of the copper bell. But the Red is such a good instrument it was purely a personal decision. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm getting a Red flugel in Polished Gold. I'm so excited! For me the copper would be hard to play lead parts in a big band on. The red fits everything for me perfectly. now back to practice! -T
