Leigh has clearly sprung into action to produce an amazing design of horn, though still keeping the Eclipse concept intact. The horn I played Thursday was still very much being built, I think I had to wait for the solder to cool down immediately before playing. As with all the other Eclpise models it's sound is fantastic. We even did a play test against a Wild Thing for a bit of topical discussion. This horn will be a hit at the TrumpetFest - wish I could be there to see peoples faces. You are the bomb. What an amazing looking horn. How in the world do you do it? Now I can't make up my mind. I'm thinking of adding an Eclipse cornet to my arsenal (if someone gets his arse in gear... we'll blame the delay on John, of course!), but now that I've seen this, I think I'm in love. Meg |

You played it in raw brass, huh? You should see it now! It will be a "showstopper" for sure! Best always, Bruce |

Thank you very much, for your interest in the Eclipse "Showstopper" trumpet! I can only tell you, at this point, that it's a HOT horn! If it doesn't sell here, Leigh McKinney has already mentioned that he has a buyer for it, in the U.K.. I would be delighted to send you pictures, on Sunday, following Saturday's Northern Brass Trumpetfest, in Melrose, Massachusetts. I have promised Leigh to keep it "under wraps" until the unveiling. Best always, Bruce |

Pictures don't do the horn justice... It IS stunning! Maybe Castle Bravo can post a link to the pics, as soon as he returns from Hamberg. Thanks, Gary! Best always, Bruce |

A Heavy Large Red Brass Bell was used, and it was finished in 24KT Goldplate. Its bracing, and design are quite unique, and very functional. The horn's response and slotting are incredible, with a lush warm sound, with great presence. The craftsmanship, as always... SUPERB! Everything First Class Brass!!! Best always, Bruce |

| This "review" was written by a TPIN poster. It's nice to see such positive remarks following a Northern Brass Trumpetfest! Quote:
