![]() | Hey,Seinman Where am i going to get a Scherzer? Eclipse HR? Naaa.I only have MY and LR. bigaggietrumpet Not a Phaeton either, but i will give you some more info on it. This is an Email from one of my customers: ".... This horn is the only one i play anymore.....I still have some MF Horns given to me by the Boss...A Bach 37 with a sterling bell..An old Selmer K modified etc.... The moment i took this out of the case i could push it or hold back and it responded with ease. I play touring Broadway shows in Vegas and it blends well in the pit. I also Play Big band lead. All the cats out here Love it...They love the way it resonates, blends, responds and cuts thru the section for solo work. It's close to Tony Scodwells which they paid about $1,000.00 more... Money it no object when it comes to the right equipment. I was picked up to do some freelance work in New Orleans from Blowing this horn on New Years eve with Al Jarreau. Felix and his company are great to work with too.. He will make sure that you are satisfied." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The only other thing that i have to add,is that this is a light horn that looks heavy, very free blowing, dead on center and tone. Am i trying to sell a horn here ? I think that Seinman would like to add some more to this He plays a Phaeton as well |

![]() | I guess the cat is out of the bag. This was a secret. It is a Scherzer piston Large Bore Bb trumpet. I think it's the only one available in US,but i can be wrong. Seinman, you have one as well, right? |

| New Friend | Well, funny you ask. I have had a Taylor Chicago Custom here for the last week. I am a big fan of the sound of heavy horns. And over the last week I have loved playing the Taylor, but just today I went back to the Phaeton. The Phaeton has the ability to be pretty much what you want it to be. I find the sound has lovely rich overtones. A friend of mine today said I sound better on the Phaeton. So there you have it! |

| Forte User | BOO! Seinman ruined the surprise!! Yes, the horn is very unique in feel. It does grow on you as well. I can't wait to use it tomorrow in concert band. I have found that I like shallower pieces with the horn. I feel like I am more accurate and on-pitch with them, which is kind of strange for me. Specifically, the Kanstul B9 that Dr. Fox is letting me try out really does work well with the horn. Van
