![]() ![]() | Thanks, Leigh for the extensive and informative reply. I'll start tomorrow with my own horn....... I'm always fascinated by this stuff. Thanks. I hope to try your horns sometime, but I've never seen your horns in the Netherlands. Maybe I just have to plan a trip to England... |

![]() | Hi Erik We do have Eclipses there in the Netherlands 1 Guy that comes to mind is Dries Stekatee, i dont know if you know him through the Dutch trumpet networks? Nice Guy! I am hoping to get a dealer in Holland soon so hopefully you may be able to try them out. We have just set up our Norwegian Dealer just outside of Oslo, the details will be up on our site very soon. He has ordered 1 of everything for his stock so he will have a lot to show people over there! he also plays eclipse himself. Regards Leigh

![]() ![]() | I don't know him, but I'll find him. If you need some advice finding a good dutch dealer, I know a good one, we already talked about your instruments and they were thinking about doing some business with you. I don't know how serious they are, but you could find out. Just send me a pm. I played in Oslo this year, maybe I'll play there next year, but England is closer ! |

| Fortissimo User | Here is a picture of my Eterna Cornet part way through Leigh's process. It's been reassembled, polished and masked: ![]() And here is a picture of it after scratching and plating: ![]() When it comes to quality and craftsmanship, Leigh "walks the talk" and this is proof. |

| Fortissimo User | That is going to depend on the condition of the horn at the present time. No point in spending bucks on refinishing if there are "issues" (sticking slides, dents to be removed, braces to resolder, marching lyre mount removal, etc.). If the horn is already down to raw brass or if it's brand new and still has 100% laquer, then there's another cost variable: it takes time and money to remove existing lacquer. Then you have to ask if you want the whole horn, bell innards and all, scratched.... or if someone is going to have to spend a couple of hours masking off all the bits that you want left bright. Best email Kanstul and ask 'em directly for an estimate. |
