What a beautiful horn. If it plays as good as it looks it must be awesome.

Great looking finish.....

My R32 at present is getting the Satin Finish put on as well as a 5 1/4" #3 bell. I am going to the bigger bell because I want a little more 'spread'. However the 6" bell is a bit too much for me! Some really like the 6" bells though..... I'd hate to spread a rumor but I think Lee Thornburg has a 3/7 with a 6" bell!

When I thought about the types of music that I usually play the 1s/2 seemed to be a really good choice for me in particular. The advantage that I had is that I have two friends with Calicchios, one being a 1sZ/2 and one being a 3/2 w/ a 6" bell, so I was able to really sit with both horns and decide which combination was best for my playing. I started to like the 3/2 but after a consult with Dave Johnson I decided on the R32 which was the same as the 3/2 but with a Red Brass bell. When I get my horn back from Tulsa I'll post some pics of the R32 with the satin finish as well! After seeing the pic of that 1s/2 in Satin, it makes me feel better knowing that its a truly awesome finish!
