Hi Matt

Just spoke to him, and he used some words that i have never heard before in my innocent life!

I think they were rude and nasty ones but i cannot be sure?

Regards

Leigh

HA! Just a warm-up for the week ahead!

Between Leigh and me, it's always a toss-up to figure out which one of us is attempting to pull the wool over the other's eyes... especially after a pint or three!

However, the two safest subjects in the world are trumpets and fishing, from that perspective... and, I will defer to Leigh on the latter. Everything else is fair game!

Cheers!
Bruce

Hi All

Just wanted to set the record staright as i am getting many emails asking me certain things regarding the new Teatro horn.

Firstly

The Teatro is a joint design and business venture between myself and Bruce, partners if you like.

The trumpet will be sold by both of us, but not under the Eclipse banner as such.
It is not designed like an Eclipse, it is what you might call "traditional" in its tuning for the most part.

It will appear on the Eclipse site for sale of course as that would be best way for me to promote our horn on this side of the pond.

Every effort has been made to create a versatile responsive horn with great sound and projection.
We cut no corners in design or build, and are extremely happy with the finished result.
I do hope that many of you will try out the horn in the near future when we put it into full production.

Bruce has and continues to be a joy to work with, we seem to be on the same page most of the time which is a great benefit when trying to form ideas into a physical form.

Hope to see some of you in NJ at the ITG, please do come and say hi!!

Best Wishes

Leigh

I can only echo Leigh's words. Leigh is very gifted at what he does, and he's a delight to work with! My entire visit to the Eclipse factory was a great experience, as was the whole aspect of building the Teatro.

For me, the discussions between us about building a trumpet took place from 3 different States... which was no small feat, in and of itself. Traveling to the UK to complete the project was very rewarding. I couldn't be happier with how the Teatro turned out, and I know that Leigh feels exactly the same about it.

I will be very happy to answer your e-mails concerning the Teatro, so that Leigh can carry on with an already busy production schedule. Thank you!

For those attending the ITG Conferece, please do stop by to see us! For everyone else, please stay posted. I'll look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers!
Bruce

I just got to play on the horn and it's one HOT horn!!!!!! (!!!!) !

I think it's an absolutely killer horn with a brilliant sound and loads of projection!

With this as an addition to the Eclipse "camp" and Bruce involved this Teatro (no matter how you pronounce it ;)) will turn plenty of heads at ITG.

Come check it out for yourself at the Eclipse stand!

Best,

Trent

teatro

WOW!!!

WOW!!!

WOW!!!

Now that that's out of my system I would like to give a thanks to Bruce for letting me swing by his home unexpectedly and try out some horns and pick up a book I had bought from him. The teatro trumpet is amazing... I played it with both slides the square and the round...I preferred the rounded feel but could appreciate the square as it felt VERY Bach-like but with excellent intonation.

The upper register is AWESOME...this horn slots G's and A's with no problems and plenty of sizzle for the commercial side of things.

Dont think this horn is just a light weight commercial players horn though. Its a chamelion, BIG TIME... I was getting dark and smoking playing jazz ballads....and bold and brilliant with some legit solos Im working on. I was thinking about it a lot on my drive home and what this horn really has going for it is that it practically plays it self...!

It plays sooo easy... I also played the eclipse models Bruce had in stock and prefered his TEATRO over all but one of the eclipse which was very close to being a tie...

I asked bruce how he is going to market the two tuning slides...He really doesn't want to charge someone $100.00 for a slide they wont use. So do yourself a favor and try this horn and give Bruce at Northern Brass a call...If you are looking for a horn you owe it to yourself!

This will quite possibly be the next horn I buy....Thanks again, Bruce...

I just dug this thread out of the horn achieves and was wondering what the status is of the Teatro, more reviews, price determination, extra slides, etc?

Thanks and good luck with your new horn design.
