drac is an unknown quantity at this point
It does brighten the tone. They have them at woodwind brasswind (www.wwbw.com) I believe the model number is 1500s. Personally I am tired of silver!! Everyone has a silver horn! Anyway you can try it out there for a good length of time with minimal fees. Give it a shot!

Well, I agree, I personally like the standard finish (something about that rose bell I just LOVE). But the problem is that a lot of band directors that I've met would beat me with a stick if I showed up with anything but a silver trumpet. In fact, that would probably be the only non-silver horn in the Concert band department down here. And I don't know about ya'll, but if I'm gonna stand out, I don't want to fall flat on my face with my playing.
