| Forte User | Toots, I think you are getting me mixed up with Michael (Bigaggie)! I've never been an engineering man, though I AM seriously considering double-majoring in Psychology (and double-minoring in business).... Van |

| Forte User | Toots, My mother just a few weeks ago got a job working for the University I attend, meaning I have free ride scholarship with no deadline and a 2.0 min. GPA. Meaning, I have a lot more room to do stuff and try other things. I also will have a year or two more to brush up on the trumpet for maybe a grad school scholarship....? The mind has always been a fascinating thing to me. Seeing the cause to the effect. Seeing what makes someone so screwed up. Van |

| someone take an old cavalry trumpet and cast it in a block of concrete so only the bell rim and receiver are clear of the concrete. This would dampen all vibration of the metal and we could see how it played. it might answer some of these questions finally. A cavalry trumpet is like a bugle but usually in the key of Eb and long like a natural trumpet. |
