Simple answer for me. In my opinion the best trumpet I have played is the Eclipse MY. I personally find that I can cover all musical bases on this trumpet - but that doesn't mean it would work the same for you.

I don't know which part of France you are from but I will be in Paris from the 2nd to the 6th of December and could arrange to meet and show you my instrument if you like. Otherwise why don't you look into popping over Le Manche for a trip to the Eclipse factory - just north of London. E-mail me or send me a private message if you have any questions and I could arrange to meet you and introduce you to Leigh Mckinney and the gang at the factory. In the mean time check out the website, www.eclipsetrumpets.com

All the best. Noel.

Hello Everybody
Thanks for all the good advices!

Trevor :
- My budget si 2500 - 3000 Euros
- I don't like the sound of the Yamaha trumpets
- I have the chance to try a Spada's Bach C conversion this year!! Wow!!!
What a wonderful and great playing Horn!!

Tinnman :
- I play manny styles of music (Classical - Jazz - Pop - Funk - Lead, ...)
but i'm not a professionnal player, and i don't have actually the cash to buy a different horn/style

Noel :
A great thanks!!
- Your Horns looks great, and the tuning concept is great to!
- I live nearly Strasbourg, that's near Germany and Switzerland, do you have dealers in this 2 country?

To All :
- What do you think about tuning bell?
- What do you think about reverse leadpipe? (i like freeblowing horns)
- What do you think about Sterling Silver or Beryllium Bronze bell?

Thanks
Rage

camelbrass will become famous soon enough
Rage,

I agree with you about the Yamaha.

Do 2 things...

1. Get in touch with Noel and try the Eclipse. It's a world class trumpet and has all sorts of bell choices.. there's bound to be one to suit. It's also very free blowing and you don't have to worry about reverse tuning slides etc.

2. Get in touch with Hub van Laar..he is near Maastricht in Holland. If you like the Bach concept then his horns are superb.

Have lots of fun choosing and keep us in touch.

Regards,

Trevor

Marcinkiewicz-for perfectionists

www.marcinkiewicz.com

You might look into one of Joe Marcinkiewicz's horns; handmade, plated by Joe and having some special features. Also, and most important..in tune. I have never seen a horn that was jewelery. This is it.
This is a horn for a perfectionist.

Alan
