Haha, I'll up Bear and give you 20 for it. What a joke this must be...I hope your boss finds it and sells it before you get your greedy little hands on it. What a joke.

Re: Monette 149XL

I think the honest thing to do would be to express your interest in the horn and tell your boss it's true value. Perhaps share the profit from your efforts.....if you try to "sneak" (steal?) it from him what would he think of you if he found out about your scheme? The reality is that posting your dishonest scheme here does not cause anyone to think highly of you....in actual fact if you did manage to get the horn and sell it.... the person buying would end up with a "hot horn" in more ways than one.

I am curious about the not musical bit?

Your relationship to your employer is questionable and I am not interested in feeding criminal energy. My personal wish is that you find another forum. TM prides itself in honest help.

This is the problem. Weather this is real or not. If you work for the owner you have an obligation to him.

This is what's wrong with America. It took someone from Germany to see that it's wrong to steal from your boss.

Shouldn't we go through life trying to do the right thing?

i couldnt agree more. extremely sad to see that a country such as ours, where people from all over the world would be thrilled to live in poverty here because of the conditions of where they live, is filling so quickly with thieves and hoodlums. i had someone take the keys out of my door last week while i was bringing stuff in from my car give it to your boss, or at the VERY least ask him how much he wants for it. if he bought it, he should have some kind of idea of whats going on. sounds like a fishy business to me

Re: Monette 149XL

Well, Jeffrey, hate to tell you, but I just bought an Andreas Eastman ETR420G trumpet....$very inexpensive and a FABULOUS horn....and have no desire to play a Monette....good luck selling it! Oh, and I won't trade you for mine....

Re: Monette 149XL

Jeffrey,

I think it's clear... you need to either do the right thing (to come clean on this with your boss) or stop posting here. No one is perfect, but it seems to me we all agree you are not doing the right thing.

I'm going to make an assumption you and this story are for real. There is such a thing as Karma. If you follow through with this "plan" it will come back to haunt you. It may not have anything to do with trumpets, but someday, someone is going to wrong you... and you will crawl into a hole somewhere and cry that "it wasn't fair" or that "I didn't deserve this". Do good and goodness will follow you... and the same works on the opposite end.

How about you give us the serial number? This is a small industry...we can track it down (owners) and make sure you do the right thing.
