Re: monette prana..

I actually have one!

It's a very old mouthpiece Dave made for me YEARS ago when I bought my D from him. It's maiden voyage was "Let the Bright Seraphim" with Kathy battle as the soloist in Carnegie Hall! I even got a nice mention by the reviewer, Tomassini.

Very nice but I'll raise you my B1-5 flugel mouthpiece in french taper!
(one of a kind and a few hairs pulled out trying to make it apparently)

That sounds good to me.

Every player is different but for me they have worked better than other mouthpieces. The sound is very clear and the intonation has been easier for me, also. For my lips they are quite comfortable and if you are a relaxed player (you don't force the sound or play with your stomach tight) you get plenty of volume with a very nice sound. Yes, for me the high notes are fuller and clearer than with other mouthpieces.

and another thing, today ? talked to one of my friends.he's a trombon player..he says me''in my opinion the best mouthpiece is schmidt in the world''what is your idea !?!?best wishes...

I'm sorry... I don't know these mouthpieces. Maybe someone else can comment about them.
Sevgiler!

Dear Begum,

Okay, then, good luck. I hope it's not too shallow for your work but you will be the best judge.

Sevgiler,

Re: monette prana..

It's a trick, you know, because I don't know your playing, Begum. All I can say is that most people use the BL mouthpieces (no matter the size) for jazz band-style, high note playing.

I am tempted to say that if you play in an orchestra, that the B4 would be better.

But, my friend, I don't know your playing so it's only my opinion from 5,000 miles away.

Good luck,

ML
