![]() | Re: monette prana.. I actually have one! It's a very old mouthpiece Dave made for me YEARS ago when I bought my D from him. It's maiden voyage was "Let the Bright Seraphim" with Kathy battle as the soloist in Carnegie Hall! I even got a nice mention by the reviewer, Tomassini. ML |

Hello;ı decided to order a monette prana mouthpiece for Bb trumpet...if ı like it ...1 or 2 months later ,ı should order one more for c trumpet..is it a good plan?what is the difference between monette and other pieces?for example,are they(monettes) more comfortable or have a big volume or open high notes?and another thing,today ı talked to one of my friends.he's a trombon player..he says me''in my opinion the best mouthpiece is schmidt in the world''what is your idea !?!?best wishes... |

All I can say is that most people use the BL mouthpieces (no matter the size) for jazz band-style, high note playing. I am tempted to say that if you play in an orchestra, that the B4 would be better. But, my friend, I don't know your playing so it's only my opinion from 5,000 miles away. Good luck, ML |
