Re: My new Trumpet?

To me, marching band is more of a sport than a musical experience - as long as you have a useable workhorse of a horn, you can get the job done. I definately agree that a new horn is best used in safer situations! No matter what, though, INSURE your new horn! It takes a lot off your mind to know that if something happens to your gear it can be replaced! All of my horns, as well as my husband's guitars (rock band gigs can be treacherous, too), are insured for full replacement value. I had $500 worth of damage done to my flugel not long after I got it - at an indoor venue, no less! I had to learn the hard way, but now everything is covered - even repairs. I have a lot more peace of mind on a gig now!
