I did notice on the attached photo the main tuning slide is illustrated with the slide pulled open slightly. The main slide on the Evo at the store..wouldn't budge and after I saw the lock ring on the receiver end...that led me to think that would be the logical place for a tuning slide set up. (WRONG HUH?) I find it hard to believe that a brand new horn's main tuning slide would arrive with a "stuck" main tuning slide pull? I was really impressed how easily the 1st & 3rd tuning slides worked.... It boggles my britches THAT I ASS-UMED that the main tuning slide was at the receiver end at the mouthpiece, especially when noticing how large a dia. lead-pipe was needed? Hey, not to vurry....my trumpet playing these days....is about as good as my quickee' test run on this really unique looking instrument. It would be interesting to have a chance to play that horn this Sat.night at the large concert hall in Bothell this weekend. I too wondered about how that horn would project in such a large open setting filled to cap. with warm human bodies in the audience that would surely suck up lots n' lots of sound. HA!
