![]() | Re: NEW LAWLER "B" MODEL haha... I have my eyes on the C7 at the moment. Looks like a good jazz horn. I am not in the market at the moment, but if I decide to go that way I am going to need a somewhat more specialized horn *shrug*. I probabyl should deal with getting a flugel and a C before that though...

![]() | Re: NEW LAWLER "B" MODEL The newest Lawler model is an E, for economy. Intended for a second horn, or for somone to get into a Lawler less expensively. He has expanded his C7 line to extra large bores, for those who pine for one. If you know anyone with a vintage Martin Committee, he would trade a new C7 for one. |

![]() | Re: NEW LAWLER "B" MODEL Just for clarification, the Lawler C7 line is not primarily a "jazz" horn. It has Martin Committee origins, but Roy has expanded his leadpipe, bell and alloy options to the point that a "C7" or it's derivatives could be designed to play in any genre.

![]() | Re: NEW LAWLER "B" MODEL I owned a model "E" for about three weeks. I traded in my Ps1 for it. (Now sold). The "E" played quite nicely at times. Maybe slightly on the "fuzzy" side in sound. I remarked to Roy that at times it played (felt) comfortable and at other times it was stuffy. He said, "Then it's not the horn for you." Possibly the "double reverse" tuning slide exclusive to the "E" was not for me. So I exchanged the "E" for a C7c and love it. Even more than the C7 that I owned prior to the Ps1.
