![]() | Re: New piccolo trumpet HI, Don! I've been kinda holding off purchasing one elsewhere, as I'd indicated that I wanted to participate in the group buy (I'm also between jobs right now, and if I can hold off buying anything, that's good :-/ ). I've asked a few times, but never gotten a direct answer as to the status of the group buy. Nate??? Thanx! Guy Clark South Bay Brass Silicon Valley Brass Band - A Traditional British Brass Band |

![]() | Re: New piccolo trumpet Hi Guy, I too have been holding off buying one elsewhere as I'm already invested in the group buy here. I've noticed that the supply of these instruments seems to have dried up on ebay. I wish I could find a US supplier for these instruments.

![]() | Re: New piccolo trumpet Just an update. Trumpet still works. Playing it today in the Charpentier te Deum and another Purcell piece. I did try my F Besson piccolo but the sound is a bit too big for the setting. I did have to put some proper lubricant in the valve spindles/bearings on the rotary pic. Since I did that its been trouble free. The price of them has doubled since I got mine. John Packer are selling them for £400 here in the UK. Mine was £200 and I bought a Blackburn leadpipe for about £100.

![]() | Re: New piccolo trumpet Quick update. Anyone in the UK wanting one of these instruments should contact John Packer. They have reduced their price from £399 to £275 but I think they are out of stock: JP Piccolo Trumpet 154 A couple of weeks ago it was their second biggest selling trumpet model after their student trumpet so word must be getting around. Fort hose who don't know, Packers are a proper pro trumpet dealer. I bought my Schilke 4 valve Eb from them. They are very helpful and good to deal with.
