![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: New Trumpet My experience has been that players can get "their" sound on just about any instrument, and the equipment used is chosen because of response, intonation, and uhh, well, the way they ease production of the player's sound. Having a Ferrari won't automatically make me drive like Michael Schumacher. If you want to dream, however, check this out: Schagerl Austria Meisterinstrumente

![]() | Re: New Trumpet You risk a thread with 1000 posts of everybody´s darlings ;o) Everyone has different preferences, so you need to find out yours. Go to a music store with lots of trumpets and try to find out, if you like light-, regular-, heavyweights, tight or open trumpets etc. As example I prefer lightweight, and often when collegues are testing my trumpets they at once say....these are not for me. ![]() | Re: New Trumpet Try as many trumpets as you can get you`r hands on. Rember what you hear on recordings are played by specialists i.e. lead orchestral jazz you so don`t buy something because so and so play`s one, buy the oe that gives YOU what you want so try them all good luck. |
