Re: pocket trumpets?

I have a Jean Baptiste and Jupiter pocket trumpets. I think the Monique, Selman and Baptiste are of the same relative quality. The Jupiter is a step up but not a pro level horn if and pocket trumpet could be classified that way. Either way, I have a blast playing both and they do suprisingly well considering thier cost. What more could I ask for less than $100.00? Cheap and fun, I can live with that. If I was going for a reasonable price with some decent quality the Jupiter is OK.

Re: pocket trumpets?

Just yesterday I blew a couple of Jean Baptist pockets at Sam Ash, they sucked below low C, otherwise adequate. I have played Jupiters and I think that they are good, also played the Colin at ITG Amherst and it was exceptional.
