![]() | Saturn spit valves? I have seen mention of Saturn spit valves occasionally. Descriptions just don't adequately convey how they work. Can anybody provide a link to close-up photos of one? And does only one company make them? And are they in any way superior to old-fashioned spring-lever spit valves? ChaseFan |

![]() | Re: Saturn spit valves? Everything invented or developed by Denis works well,..... Certainly much better than Amado water keys. They work by being pushed from any angle and you don't get drips on your fingers or have to touch the instrument itself. The only disadvantage is their fairly high cost and that you must go to an intelligent repairer to get them installed. This is Denis Wedgewood's site; Wedgwood Brass - Home page |

![]() | Re: Saturn spit valves? Denis put them on my Flugel and they are excellent - they use a sprung ball bearingwhich is opened by the 'saturn' ring being pushed one way or another. Anyway, highly recommended. Kind regards PB
