I see what Van means, though. That bell flare is cavernous, I think only the WT would be bigger.

I have heard that WT has a big bell,but i am not sure it is a big as the Scherzer.

It's not so much the size of the bell, but the way that Flip designed the taper into the flare. It seems to open up much earlier than the typical trumpet. The Scherzer, I can't really put my finger on how to describe it, but it just gets huge. It may very well be bigger, though...

The flair comes very much towards the end of the horn. It is so conical the flair almost doesn't exist.

The bell is so conical it reminds me of a tuba or euphonium.
