Sorry...I could not resist. You will like what you "really" gave me the logo for. It's gonna be cool....

I did have one other question...I wonder what the finish is on the New York C on the NYTC website. That seems like a nice looking finish too...Hmm. Too many options!!! :)

It is brushed lacquer with polished accents.
This finish is only available from Possegger.

Answers that one fairly easily :) But that's okay. I'm liking the idea of the brushed laquer/brushed copper anyway. Felix, one person mentioned that you are sending out the horn in raw brass to test before the finishing...do you do that with all of them? or is that just a special case? Just wondering what to expect.

We can send it to you before fiishing,no problem at all.
It will just take longer to get a finished product, that's all.

Well...I gotta say thanks to everyone who helped me out on this...I think I've got everything ironed out now...I think I'm even going to be brave and go with a rimless bell...Nick D mentioned that he has two of them, and they're both stil in mint condition...he's careful with it but it's not extraordinarily fragile. That's promising. Anyway...I'll be posting pics in a few months when I get it...may not be until May, but that's okay. That means I have all summer to play with it.

Re: Stage 1 Trumpets...Help? I'm thinking about getting one.

I just want to update things on this...and let everyone here know(as if they didn't already) how AMAZING Felix is! This guy put up with all my questions, then talked with me on IM tonight about testing a horn early(but he doesn't have any in stock, that's ok). Then, on a whim, I asked him about mouthpieces, and we talked a bit about what I was looking for for a concert/legit piece. I currently play on a Monette Prana B2. I feel that this one is a bit too big and deep for my thin lips..and he recommended a GR..then I asked which one..and he looked and recommended a 66M. I paid for one tonight through PayPal and he is going to special order it for me probably tomorrow(it's GP). How amazing is this? There is NO other maker I can think of that will work with you like this, and mingle with the players...yes, that includes the one everyone is thinking of. I mean, gimme a break..he was online talking to me through AIM at 9 PM, when I'm sure he had PLENTY of other things to do (he mentioned he had 150 more emails to go through about mid-conversation). I know Eclipse tends to do this too-I might get one of their flugels. Or maybe the NY Stage 1, eventually. I can't get over how willing he is to work with people, even when they ask stupid repetitive questions, like me . Anyway...I get to test all those models at TMEA with my new GR, hopefully.

I can't wait to see what he has in store for me when I order that horn...

Russ

And on top of that..He mentioned that the Gold plated ones are special order...and he said if it's going to take too long, He'll order the silver plated model, and gold plate it HIMSELF....now that...that is service. Wow.

Reverend is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Stage 1 Trumpets...Help? I'm thinking about getting one.

That's Felix for you!! Why do you think that I asked to become one of his dealers? Because of his instruments? Yes, but more importantly, because his professionalism and genuine concern for his clients just shines through! I'm honored to be in such company!

I look forward to learning much from Felix during the West Chester Univsersity fest on 1/28/07!!!

And I look forward to meeting with you, Russ, during the TMEA. Heck, bring all of your trumpet playing buddies - we'll all have a blast there!!

If there is anyone out there in trumpetland who will be close to San Antonio during mid-February - you owe it to yourself to make it to the TMEA to try out the Stage 1 instruments that I will have on hand!!!

Come by and say hi! I will be in booth #335 at the TMEA!!!

And Russ, I've spoken with Felix about your trumpet - WOW - it's gonna be NICE!!!!!!!!!

Blessings,
