![]() | Just a thought - do you think Leigh ever saw Roy Lawler's square belled trumpet - I got a chance to play it at ITG in 1996. Don't worry - I'm sure he wouldn't ... Can you imagine the problem you would have finding a trumpet stand though... |

![]() | Hi Andy! Great to see you posting on TM!! Yes ive seen square trumpets before, not a bad idea at all. Maybe others could throw a few suggestions into the hat too so i can do a bit of everything to it. Anything weird or strange will be just fine, after all its not our horn is it. We can use it like an experiment for all of our messed up design ideas? What do you all think? I'm all for it!! Regards Leigh PS I'm sure that Thevor has other horns anyway....

| Mezzo Piano User | No matter what you do to the horn, I would suggest scratched Savannah. After I saw that finish I nearly wanted to cry. It's so rough looking but smooth to the touch. Would hand grips on the valve block be out of the question? Since a scope is out of the question, maybe just a trigger mechanism to replace the third valve ring...... Copper accents might be a nice touch too. I won't even say the word rope, Leigh.

![]() | Ropes.... square bells.... a finish called Savanah? I'd get nervous if Leigh said that my horn was done but wanted to know what should be done with the "spare parts"..... well it's certainly is going to be a surprise and I'm still having fun.
