![]() | Seriously now. Can you imagine a brushed gold Olympus with a black carbon fiber bell. That would be awesome. People would freak. It may even sound very good as well, be really lightweight and dent resistant. Yes, I would like to have a rep in Colorado, I get a lot of calls from there. Let me know if you know anyone. Alex |

Oh well, the one that scares me is the crystal glass bell. Don't leave that one on your trumpet stand BTW, I am from Colorado. I visit there every so often and may be able to help. Back to the topic. I had my horn sent out for plating. I sold my backup horn in a planned sale. Suddenly, I found myself without a pro level horn (since Alex has most of his sold out). I had to play a beginner's horn. My oh my, did my band mates rib me. Plus is was just a difficult chore to keep that horn in tune. If you ever need to be thankful for your horn, play an inexpensive beginner's horn for awhile. I took it from every angle -- being a dealer. Was I ever glad to get my horn back. Waiting is awful -- and you bandmates do not make it any easier. Normally, when frustrated I like to practice. But when you don't have a good horn, practicing is a chore too. M&C

![]() | I ordered mine with brush gold plating. Here's the latest from my band mates: Kanstul has declared bankruptcy and all orders for the WB had to be cancelled! Just the WB mind you, nothing else. Ha Ha! What a bunch of comedians I play with. The only good thing to come out of this is my non-musician wife is more anxious than I am to get this thing in! |

![]() | I'm glad I'm not the only one waiting. I've been waiting 8 weeks for my 1530 cornet, no custom modifications. I was told it would take 2-4 weeks. I suspected it was Alex's fault all along! (More power to ya', Alex). Oh well, like I've asked my customers, " Do you want it done fast, or do you want it done right?" |
