I play a Bach Strad flugel in a brass band with a DW 2F mpc. I also play a Bach Strad 43 Bach/Selmer 25th Anniversary model trumpet with a Bach 1 1/4 mpc in a community big band. Occasionally I use my 1961 Olds Recording with the same mpc. Looking forward to picking up my new Eclipse Special Edition from Leigh sometime in February. A retirement gift to myself

Trumpets:
Bb: Early 70s Bach Vindabona, Raw Brass with a 43L bell
C: Brand new Bach 239/25A
Piccolo: Yamaha 6810

Mouthpieces:
GR e65MX (On the C)
GR e65M (Mostly on the Bb, but use the MX on it, too)
Yamaha 14a4a on the pic. Don't know why, but it works.
Am thinking of going back to 3c size which I played for many years and if so, will go with GR 3 series.

Equipment

Okay...

I play in a community big band (lead) during the fall/winter/spring and sometimes do an orchestra in the summer. I tend to switch equipment as the mood strikes me.

Bb's

1959 Olds Recording - a red brass bell but still bright, can peel paint (?!)
1960 Olds Mendez - nice smooth slippery slotting, Bach-ish sound, big core
1959 Olds Studio (on the way!)
1968 Olds Ambassador - dark buttery horn, fat sound

2003 Yamaha Mike Vax - love the blow and sound, valves are a bit spongy - looking for different springs;

1989ish Bach Strad 37 lacquer - my first pro horn

C

Yamaha 6345 Red Brass Bell, not my favourite horn, plays too small :?

D/Eb

Yamaha - horn's not handy, not sure of the model # but it's really good.

Flugel

Yamaha 631 Flugel, lightweight, really nice player

Mouthpiece

GR 65.6 Signature (Macaluso) for both Bb and flugel

I'd still like to try a Connstellation 38B, or 36B, Callet Jazz, Olds Opera, vintage Benge or a new Kanstul Chicago, umm...oh and a Calicchio.

I play mostly in church, orchestra, jazz band and praise music. My trumpet is a Lawler TL6r-1a with the sts conversion, I will soon have Roys #1 heavy wall bell. My flugel is the Lawler LF 1. I play Warburton series 4 mouthpieces on both horns. 8)
