Re: What was your first horn?

Conn. Wasn't a fantastic horn, it got damaged after I bought my King Legend in middle school and I never bothered to get it repaired.

Re: What was your first horn?

A Holton. Can't remember what model. It needed a valve job really bad but back them I didn't know a vavle job existed so I thought the horn was trash. Got a new Bach TR300 a couple months after the Holton.

A Holton ST302 MF Horn would you believe it!
I didn't even know what the MF stood for at the time I got it.

Re: What was your first horn?

Olds Ambassador cornet that I played until my junior or senior year in high school when I moved up to a Conn Connstellation Cornet. Didn't get my first trumpet until my second year in college.

Re: What was your first horn?

First trumpet was a 'REX' that use to belong to my late father. I played that for a couple of years before I "upgraded" to an Amati!!!
Still have that Rex and still can't find out much about it's history. It has been missing its main tuning slide braces for a while but as soon as I find another one I will be restoring it. It still plays good for a undersprung peashooter. It's one that will remain in my collection for the rest of my life. The Amati was not so fortunate.......when I bought my Bach 37 I poured petrol over it and set it on fire.....a total POS.

Conn - Connstellation. Was given to me when I was in 7th grade, by a close friend of my family, and my first teacher.

I wish i still had this one.
