Re: What is your main horn? I no longer have my 2 L.A. Benges or my K. Allmen, sold them to finance my C7 and have no regrets. the only problem that I see is having to send it back to Roy to get it finished. Dave

Re: What is your main horn? I've been playing a Yamaha 8310Z most of the time. I also have a vintage Bach lightweight with a 43 Bell and 43 leadpipe. I have dabbled over the years with other horns, usually off of Ebay. I always come back to these two horns though. Pete

Re: What is your main horn? I love my B&S Challenger II 3125/2 with Heavy Caps Brass finish trumpet. It gets a great round fat sound that's warm as well. I use a Monette B1-5 and B1-5M with it. It only cost me $1K brand new when I bought it back in 2000 from Chicago Band & Orchestra at the DePaul building before they closed down that location.

Re: What is your main horn? My horn is a wonderful instrument I picked up in a pawn shop. I found this information regarding its history regarding my Tempora Reynolds Trumpet by Eishaddi Edwards of Contempora Corner: "Actually, 38840 is probably from around 1950 or so. 30000 was ~1946 or '47 and there was an estimated 2000-2500 increment/year at the time. 1960s would be ~60000 or higher. The "MB" stands for medium bore, which was .458" Sincerely, Leland B. Tanquary
