Re: What is your main horn?

What does it really matter what kind of horn you play?I dont care if you play an Olds Pinto with plastic valve casings,As long as you love to play then play!Is this becoming a showcase over who can afford what or are people getting horn names out of catalogs and dreaming?

Hey lighten up gregory1969, just think - where else can we strut our stuff and talk (and BS) about our toys where others actually know what we are on about - and can be sympathetic to the poor souls who have plastic horns.

Re: What is your main horn?

I have a 1950 contempora bflat trumpet third valve slide and trigger on the first valve and a silver ring around the bell. This horn apparently is a model named after Lennoard Smith. Would anyone know if this is a profesional horn or a student horn? Thank you, Sincerely, Leland

Re: What is your main horn?

How do these Wedgwoods play? How would you compare them to strads and xenos? does the .12 mm shorter valve stroke matter? does the turbulence reducing valve design matter?

Re: What is your main horn?

My main is a Bach 37-no mod, however, I would have liked to have seen a slot for Martin instead of classified as other. After-all, quite a few of this worlds best players have owned and played them.
