Who makes this horn? Kanstul makes the Guarnerius, do they manufacture the Olympus as well?

Thanks Mikey, its good for me to know this.

If I need to know anyting about ZeuS instrumets I will be sure to turn to you first. You seem to have all the answers.

Now, if you could tell me what women really want.

Damn, this is fun!

Should we have a contest to see who is the best at baiting Alex?

That person will earn the title of...........

Get ready now, folks..............

Here it comes.................

The Master-Baiter!

Anybody want to nominate themself?

M.

(In all seriousness, there is nothing at all wrong with Kanstul making the ZeuperZeus. If I was designing a new instrument, I would talk to Kanstul first. Their reputation for making great horns is well known).

I better watch out, or I will end up in the cage.......

Alex asked me if I know what women really want.

As a happily married man for 17 years (and counting), I most certainly know what women really want:

To be treated as equal to any man
To be loved, pampered, and treated with respect.
To NOT plaster semi-nude, suggestive pictures of her on the Internet.

People, people...PLEASE!

Let's play nice now!

Getting this post back on topic, there are some significant differences between the ZeuS Guarnerius and the ZeuS Olympus!

Basically, the Zues Guarerius has the following specifications:

Single piece, hand hammered, 4 7/8 inch, yellow brass, #37-style bell
Standard weight construction
#25 style leadpipe
.459" medium large bore
Hand fitted Monel valves
Genuine pearl finger buttons
Traditional brass valve guides (not plastic, in keeping true to the original vintage design)
Traditional lever-type waterkeys

The ZeuS Olympus, on the other hand, has the following specs:

One piece hand-made bell, 5 1/4" diameter
.470" large bore
Reverse leadpipe design
One Amado waterkey
Heavy bottom caps standard
Monel hand-fitted valves
Brass valve guides
Perfectly balanced design

Though I haven't played the Olympus, reviews by those I know seem to indicate that that Guarnerius and the Olympus are true compliments to one another!

Which makes me want to try out an Olympus even more now...

Blessings,

Reverend, you should be able to see by now this not about the horns.
How can you justify Alex's marketing techniques, or the suggestive pictures of his wife that he posts or posted on his web site, or the way he belittles people?

As far as both horns being made by Kanstul, so what? That is nothing to be ashamed of.

I have played a Zeus, not an Olympus. It's a good horn for the money.

I guess it's time to back off and get out of this forum again.

God Bless you, Rev.

M.

Thevor my friend,

One of the things I try to do IS allow some "latitude" to those who post on this particular forum. Your post is still up - right?

My "peace" card was in response to a post that I had let stay on the forum. Other moderators, utilizing their own discretion, which I respect, decided to remove the post that I had responded to. So...

Would I like for topics on this forum to remain "on topic?" Of course!

Am I TOO liberal for what I allow on this forum? Perhaps!

It is NOT my intention to keep anyone from responding to any post on this forum...I may, however, have to be a little more stringent on what I allow to remain - else my fellow moderators do my job for me!

Mikey,

God bless you too, my friend!

To all the readers of this forum...

Have a wonderful Christmas!!

Blessings,
