| Pianissimo User | Well, we have another ZeuS basher, one that cannot even spell that which he bashes. It's like this guys, some, like me, like brunnettes and Porsches, some prefer blondes and Corvettes. If you've played a ZG or ZO and don't like it, so be it. I have a variety of horns, I use them as the situation dictates. Why bash something you've not tried or are so closed minded that you'd never try? The great thing about these forums is anyone can opine what they wish. Isn't America great!!!!!! May God bless this great nation!

![]() | I did not bash ZeuS trumpets , I just said that the Rev always sounded like a ZeuS salesman because he is . So tell me how is that bashing ZeuS. I still don't see that the Olympus is a valve forward design, that is just more of that Rev's sales pitch. ZeuS trumpets are O K , they are a good deal for the money, but that is about it. See ya later ! |

| Pianissimo User | I've had 4 opportunities to perform with my ZO ARLX these last 3 days. Each time, I've been able to demostrate the unique sound design of this horn, from a mellow, pianissimo to a bright, fortissimo. Other trumpeters in attendance came to me afterwards and wanted to know about it. They marvelled at it's ability to be such a chameleon so I let them try it for themselves. Each put it through the paces and were amazed as I was the first time I played it. The common misconception of the ZO is it's a great horn for the money, it's not. IT'S A GREAT HORN, PERIOD. And just so everyone understands the design, it's not a balanced horn as much as it is a valves forward. The following is from Alex's site (OK bashers, go ahead, get it over with!) If you have a trained eye and are an experienced player, you will notice that the valves are positioned differently from other trumpets. The "Valves Forward" design is actually quite pronounced visually. This is a very important feature in making the horn balance in your hand like no other instrument. You don't even feel like you are holding it. The center of gravity is moved way forward and it actually balances in your hand, not tipping forward or backwards. Its amazing to experience. It is sure to go a long way in eliminating fatigue over long playing sessions So now you know the difference in Alex's design concept. I can tell you from playing a lot these last 3 days the "valves forward" concept works wonders. I have always felt constrained by my Strad, like my arms are pulled in tight. Even moving the valves a little as he did, Alex made the ZO a much more comfortable horn to play for extended periods. No, I'm not a dealer, just a completely satisfied ZO owner. When you satisfy your customers, you don't need dealers to hype you horns, they speak for themselves, as the ZeuS line does!

![]() | What a bunch of silly nonsense, but if you want to beleive it , then good for you, and if you are happy with and proud of your ZeuS trumpet then double good for you, but don't try to tell us Alex's bunch of hogwash and expect us to beleive it . |
