![]() | Bach 72 question I have a Bach 72 #157418, ml bore. When my Mom bought this horn for me in 1979 they made reference to the star on the bell but I don't remember it's significance, was it a lightweight bell? any one know? It's a small star right below Elkhart, IND. USA |

| Mezzo Forte User | Re: Bach 72 question The Star stands for lightweight. No doubts. Why would that matter to you anyway if you have the horn for such a long period? Normally people notice such things and take attention when they are pon safari for a particular type of instrument...

![]() | Re: Bach 72 question Well I just got back into playing the horn after about a 12 year break (job, kids, divorce) I have been playing for about six months now and have to send it in for a sticky 2nd valve problem and was looking for a second horn just for kicks. Everyone I talked to kept saying, "why, you have one of the best ever made". That made me take a second look and gave me a new appreciation of the horn I have. I was admiring it and remembered the star, so there you have it. |
