| Fortissimo User | Kevin, two of the pull knobs were missing from mine when I first received it as well. My first "light cleanup" job involved sending the horn up to Calgary to my "local" guy (120 miles is "local" around here) and he found a couple of replacements (albeit slightly smaller). If you look carefully you'll see that there is now a little flat "thumb paddle" soldered onto the 2nd and main tuning slides to aid in removing the slide ends... and they are exactly the same shape as the one on the Eclipse trumpets; look at picture #7! (If I didn't say it before, Leigh is THOROUGH!). I'll bet he could easily put the thumb knobs back on yours however (he's got to have two or three left that he took of mine!). If you wanted more of a "slick" look, just pop the slides in "upside down". By the way... just so nobody gets ideas... Leigh "converted" the Eterna to match as close as possible his own Eclipse line as a special favor from one Irishman to 1/2 of another (and 1/2 Scot and 2/2 Canadian). You'd have to ask him if he'd be willing to do the same for yours. Either way, as you can see he'll do one heck of a job! |

| Tootsall I've just returned from FCB... where I played both of your new instruments.. mighty fine indeed. The guys at FCB have done a stunning job on the Getzen!! You are going to be the envy of all of Canada I'd say!! Oh, all the other eclipse's (!) were fab also, as was the C and so was the Flugel... |

| New Friend | sigghhhhh Ed, I had no idea you were getting an Eclipse. I am SO jealous! As soon as I'm able to come up with approximately $5000 Canadian, I'm all over one. Tell you what.. come up to Calgary and maybe we can arrange a 2 for 1 trade? I'll give you both of my horns for just your one Eclipse. Good deal, no? Either way, if you've ever wanted to try out a 1933 Olds Super or a 1956 Holton, I'd love to while away an afternoon talking horns and playing some good music. :) Oliver |

| Fortissimo User | Hey Oliver... no problem. Just pop on down to Lethbridge some fine Thursday and you can come and "sit in" with our C.B. As far as I know (Leigh is tough to get a straight answer out of), it'll be the first Eclipse in Canada. I wanted him to put a special serial number on it but he says that his valve supplier already has the valve blocks ID'd so he has to cross-reference to their system... no point in putting his own number on. I wouldn't have it if it weren't for Leigh's contest, however. Get thee to the Eclipse forum and read those contest rules and entries to see what it takes. Then HANG AROUND THIS WEBSITE and enter next year's competition! Who knows.... I know I never figured on a chance to get one for half price! Ed |

| I thought I was going to get the first Eclipse in Canada! I'm sure it'll be the first one in Ontario(Toronto anyway). I'll likely be visiting Bruce and Rayburn's summer looking for a new horn but I've little doubt that the Eclipse is going to be the winner. |
