![]() | Re: If I were to look for a soaring vintage lead-trumpet.... The bell on the high range Olds reminds me of my Benge 2xp. The 2xp is an extremely bright horn. Might be the horn one would consider for a lead or Broadway type sound. |

As for running, NONE of the guys are in any condition to run and play!!! :) Just took my first notes after 3 weeks off the horn. Nice to get back into shape, but I have to say it has ben VERY nice to be able to spend whole days with my family instead of a few hours in the basement every day! Ah well, the season is about to start....

I've got a near-mint '47, that is about as light as you get. I personally don't use it for lead work, I use the Xeno for that, but it's an awesome jazz horn when I play second. good luck
