King 2B

Hi,

I am buying a restored King 2B trumpet circa 1940s. Supposedly, it's the same type horn that Harry James played. Does anyone know anything about this model and is there a site I can go to to check the serial no to determine the actual age? I'll appreciate any info.

Thanks

Re: King 2B

Thanks Morris. Based on the info found on the website it's a 1939 or 1940 2B. It's restored and in nearly perfect condition.
