Spot gold last was quoted at $439.10/439.80 an ounce, up from its last late New York quote at $437.70/8.50.

Spot silver slipped to $6.95/98 from $7.04/07 late Monday.

Besides gold is beautiful. The zebra look might catch on. I'd leave what's left. Just shine it gently.

I paid nothing for this bell, and I have no plans on golding any of my horns anytime soon. Gold doesn't affect the sound enough (for me) to be worth having on my hands.

I personally think matte lacquer or scratch copper with clear laquer is just a beautiful.

It was probably just very tarnished silver. Rub off the tarnish, see silver underneath.
