![]() | New Proportion I recently lucked into a 1914 Holton New Proportion for $44 on Ebay. I had put in what I thought was a token bid, and was not surprised to see myself automatically outbid. Lo and behold, after the auction ended, the high bidder cancelled their bid and I wound up as the winner! It is one of the Chicago-era horns. It needs some work, but is playable. The tubing for the 2nd valve slide needs to be reattached and a tiny hole needs to be patched, along with a few other odds and ends. It came with a case and an extra set of what I believe are High Pitch slides (although the HP 3rd valve slide is missing). There is no mouthpiece, so I used a vintage Buescher mouthpiece for the photos.
