what about a late 50's/early 60's super (fullerton or LA). What would that be like quality wise.

Depending on the wear, it'd be one of the good quality ones. And while we're on the topic, I believe Olds moved to Fullerton in 1955, but you'd have to confirm that with Tom Turner or some of the other experts around here.
