![]() ![]() | Longer/shorter Up until a couple of days ago my favorite cornet was a 13" British style. Then I found what I 'THOUGHT' was a Couturier trumpet at a flea market. Upon closer examination, today, I discover that this one,(I have two Couturiers ),was built with a cornet leadpipe. Talk about a long cornet!! I think that Conn with their long model Connstelation might have kinda used Couturier's thinking. I stood both of my Couturier horns upright on the bell to check for overall length. The ONLY difference that I can find is the leadpipe and it's receiver. OLDLOU>> |

![]() | The King mini-trumpets, which are super-rare, are great players! I had the wonderful honor to play a couple of 'em about three years ago. They played like a fine piccolo trumpet . . . but LOOKED much cooler! I'd love to have one . . . then again, so would tons of other trumpeters. Only about 100 were ever made, and they were never sold to the public. H. N. White gave 'em as gifts to his artist/players, V.I.P.s and other friends. ![]() Tom |
