Not exactly vintage in my mind, but just thought I'd share.

Yamaha YTR-232 1960s.

Brushed Raw Brass......done by me, so it's not the best brushed job in the world....but works for me.

I'll enter my latest aquisition here - it's a 1963 Conn 5A Victor short cornet, .485 bore. It's not as nice-looking as the photo would lead you to believe, but it plays well.

oh my goodness...

mr. dale, you have the coolest horns EVER!! do you create them? or do you just collect them?

im just a kid, and its kind of depressing with what kind of trumpet i have. a colgiate? it's amazing how everyone knows their trumpet so well, but that's all i know about my trumpet.

how does everyone do it? you guys are amazing to show the nice horns you have. =]

Thanks trptplyr23, I found most of these instruments online and got lucky at a couple of thrift stores in town.

These horns were engraved like that from the factory when they were made 70-80 years ago by master craftsmen. I don't know if anyone today can do engraving like that.

I played a old Holton collegiate for marching band back in highschool. those horns are built like tanks!

You all make me sick......w/ ENVY! (well mainly the ones with the Martin Committees...I'm on the hunt for one.) Anyways I'll try to post some picts of my little horns...not too vintage...an Olds Studio (nickel) and my Coprion 17a Director...I'll post soon...I promise.
