Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY

One of the more underated overlooked someday to be sought after brands/models in my opinion. Reynolds was the MAN!
Nice looking cornet, I bet it plays sweet!

Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY

Quiet!!!!
You can still get them very cheap!!
This one only cost me 32 USD.
It has a fantastic sound but it feels strange because I am more use to European short model cornet sound. I love the look of the brass/nickel finish and even the little detail of the nickel guard on the curve of the tuning slide outer where it goes into the third valve.
Should look good when I get it buffed and sprayed.

Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY

My day job is as a Machinist programing/operating CNC lathes and Machine centers.
I will post some pics of the valve bottoms before I send them off to be plated when I find time to do them.

Re: VINTAGE HORN EYE CANDY

OK I finally have some picts for you all...
the 1st link shows my little Conn "Coprion" 17a Director...only 120 bucks including shipping! The best part is is that it has the original laqcuer which covers about 97% of the horn!
Conn "Coprion" 17a Director - a photoset on Flickr

The second link shows my beat up 1951 Martin Committee Trumpet which I bought for only 560 dollars!!...YES I know it needs alot of work...but not bad of a buy considering the sky rocketing prices on eBay etc!
Martin Committee - a photoset on Flickr

I'll definitely post "Before and After" picts of the Committee!
