Thanks for the info Vulgano. I haven't been able to find too much stuff on these flugels. You don't happen to know how old it would be?

Oh and topo3man I am now a serious shade of envious green after seeing your matching set of silvertones.........damn nice!!

How does the Benge C play? is it on the small side compared to modern C's?

Well it hit me that I had posted picts of my "new" Committee on *whisper* the TrumpetHerald website and on the Brass-forum website...but not this one! forgive me....

It's a 1945 Martin Committee...

Sorry for the size of the pictures. When I post on TH theay are resized but not on this site. As far as the Chicago Benge C, it plays very close to a Bb. It is not small at all even for an ML. I had the valves redone and aligned by Dr. Valve (Steve Winans) and he commented that it played as well, if not better than the CSO Mt. Vernons he has worked on (including Herseth's). I am a huge Benge fan and I still believe they are the best trumpet, vintage or otherwise, for the money anywhere. I have owned Bachs, Schilkes and Eclipses and I still keep coming back to Benge!
